Over the coming weeks, we will be switching our main fine art paper to a new, more eco-friendly paper.
As a socially responsible company, we are constantly searching for new ways to lessen our impact on the environment. We have always sought to use recycled paper for all our printing needs, but were hampered by the lack of availability of a recycled fine art paper that both printed well and was resistant to fading.
So we were delighted to discover a new paper that combines the high standards of a fine art paper with responsible use of raw materials. This paper is made using a by-product of raw sugar production combined with the mills own recycled paper waste. The mill also use renewable energy sources to produce it – making it even more eco-friendly. But best of all, it prints like a dream and is extremely resistant to fading.
The paper is a 300gsm softly textured natural white that matches beautifully with our mount boards.
As we switch over, we will ensure that all prints in an order are printed on the same paper stock to guarantee consistency.
PS Please resist the urge to nibble your prints. The paper may be made from sugar cane but we can assure you it tastes like paper!
